Skincare for Kids In Need�s mission is to
raise self-esteem in needy children by
providing numerous teen group homes in
Los Angeles with dermatological products
and services. There are currently about
2000 teens living in group homes in
LA County.
These facilities have no budget for
providing products that help teens with
acne related issues. S.K.I.N. works with
pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies to facilitate their donations of products to
be delivered to these selected homes. We also fundraise in order to purchase any other
necessary products, and provide basic grooming and hygiene education. With the
medical supervision of dermatologist, Joshua M. Wieder, M.D., dermatological services
are provided at no cost to teens with severe acne related issues.
