Founded 95 years ago, HILLSIDES mission is to create safe places for children, strengthen families, provide special education; and advocate for children’s rights. This Southern California non profit creates safe places for children in its residential treatment program where children living in the group homes are in foster care or have been referred by the Department of Mental Health.
AVIVA Center-West Hollywood
Aviva Family and Children's Services is a non-profit, multi-service agency serving the greater Los Angeles community. Aviva provides care and treatment to abandoned, neglected, abused and at-risk youth and their families. Services include residential treatment, community mental health services, family preservation, after-school care, special education and foster family placement.
Founded as an orphanage in 1888, Five Acres is the oldest non-sectarian child abuse and neglect prevention, treatment and education center in the San Gabriel Valley and one of the few in Los Angeles County accredited by the internationally recognized Council on Accreditation for Children and Families Services (COA).
Star View Adolescent Center offers a multilevel program combining high quality residential care, educational services, mental health treatment, and rehabilitation. The program is highly individualized, innovative, and flexible so that adolescents have every opportunity to succeed. Family and foster family participation in treatment is actively encouraged. A community services program youngsters when they transition to community living.
